The first City-Wide RENEW meeting was held in the central part of Baltimore; the second on the west side. For this third meeting on May 9th we moved to the picturesque Saint Wenceslaus Church at 2111 Ashland Ave in East Baltimore.
During the second meeting residents were given an opportunity to sign up for four committees: Policy, Media & Outreach, Meeting/Event Planning and Structure. At this meeting residents (who came from all around the city) were given updates about the committees’ progress.
Representatives from Baltimore Housing, Department of Public Works and the Police Department talked about what their various departments do and how they can help residents and community groups address nuisance, vacant properties in their neighborhoods.
This meeting also gave residents an opportunity to meet Renee Stainrod, Community Law Center’s new Community Engagement Coordinator. One of Ms. Stainrod many responsibilities is to provide support to Baltimore RENEW as we try to grow the organization.
Welcome to Baltimore RENEW, Renee! We are excited to be working with you.Follow us:
